Clause 2:

 Condition of Grant

 This Mining Licence is granted subject to the provisions of the Mining Act, Cap. 123, and  the regulations made thereunder, along with the conditions set out or referred to herein.

 Tenure

The Mining Licence, unless sooner canceled, suspended, or surrendered, shall remain in  .force for a period of ten yearsfrom the date of gran


Clause 4:

Method of Operations

 During the term of this Mining Licence, the Licensee shall carry out the programme of  mining operations in accordance with the approved Mining Plan and as may be amended  from time to time, fulfilling obligations hereunder and assuming full responsibility and  risks associated with the operations. The Licensee shall take all reasonable steps necessary to secure the safety, health, and  welfare of persons engaged in the operations in or about the Mining Licence Area, and  ensure the safety of properties in accordance with the governing laws of Tanzania.

Clause 5:

 Environmental Management

 During the term of this Mining Licence, the Licensee and any other person who exercises  or performs functions, duties, or powers under the Act in relation to mining operations  shall comply with the approved Environmental Management Plan and environmental  principles and safeguards prescribed in the Environmental Management Act and other  relevant laws. The Licensee, contractor, and subcontractor shall ensure that the management of  production, transportation, storage, treatment, and disposal of waste arising out of mining  operations is carried out in accordance with the environmental principles and safeguards  prescribed under the Environmental Management Act and other relevant written laws. The Licensee shall contract a separate and competent entity to manage transportation,  storage, treatment, or disposal of waste arising out of mining operations.

Clause 6:

 Commencement of Mine Development and Production

 Before the commencement of mining operations, the Licensee shall ensure the proposed  plan for the relocation, resettlement, and payment of compensation to people within the  mining areas is implemented in accordance with the Land Act. Before carrying out any work or activity in the mining area, a Licensee, contractor,  subcontractor, or other allied entity shall set up a project office within the district where  the project is located. The Licensee shall commence development work within three (3) months from the date of  grant of the Mining Licence, or such further period as may be agreed by the Mining  Commission, based on the approved mining plan and related facilities. The Licensee shall commence regular production from the Mining Licence Area  within eighteen (18) months from the date of grant or within such further period as may be  agreed by the Mining Commission.

Clause 7:

 Local Content Plan

The Licensee and their contractors or allied entities shall ensure that local content is  engaged in the mining activities. They must submit a Local Content Plan that complies  with Tanzanian regulations regarding local participation in mining operations. A non-indigenous Tanzanian company that intends to provide goods or services to the  Licensee must form a joint venture with an indigenous Tanzanian company, with the  indigenous company holding at least 20% equity. The Licensee shall procure goods and services available in Tanzania, in line with an  .approved procurement plan

Clause 8:

 Corporate and Social Responsibility

 The Licensee shall, on an annual basis, prepare a credible social responsibility plan, jointly  agreed with the relevant local government authorities and the Minister responsible for  Local Government Authorities and Finance.

 Integrity Pledge

 The Licensee shall comply with the Statement of Integrity Pledge, which is a commitment  to ethical and transparent business practices.
